This project was designed for St. Augustine’s in-the Woods Episcopal Church in Freeland, Washington. The approximately 9,400 square foot addition includes a new narthex, fellowship hall, kitchen, offices and an unfinished basement space for future expansion. Project goals included minimal site disturbance, enhancing potential views of Holmes Harbor and creating an addition respectful of the existing sanctuary’s architectural form and style. The project incorporates sustainable building practices, materials and techniques wherever possible.
